The short, readable version of the rules
Using this site means you accept what follows. None of it is unusual, and all of it is written to be understood on one read.
1. What this site is
The Game Lantern publishes beginner walkthroughs for casual mobile arcade and puzzle games. Everything here is descriptive writing by players, offered for information and enjoyment. It is not instruction, not professional advice, and not a service of any kind. No account is required, nothing is sold, and no transaction of any sort takes place on this site.
2. Independence and trademarks
No publisher or developer has any commercial, contractual or editorial relationship with this site, and none has approved or reviewed what we publish. Game names are used descriptively so readers know which game a page is about. All trademarks, product names and artwork referenced remain the property of their respective owners, and their use here does not imply any relationship or approval.
3. Accuracy, and its limits
Every walkthrough is written after playing the game described, and each page carries the month it was last revised. Casual games are updated frequently, though, and a mechanic accurate in March can be different by June. Pages are offered as they are, without any warranty that they remain complete, current or correct. If you find something out of date, the contact page explains how to tell us.
4. Using our writing
The text and layout of this site belong to The Game Lantern. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from — that is normal and we are glad of it. Republishing a full walkthrough, translating one, or reusing this material to train or generate content elsewhere requires permission in writing first.
5. Links to other sites
Where a page points somewhere outside this site, that destination is not under our control. We link only to things we think are useful, but we are not responsible for other people's content, their privacy practices or their changes. Our privacy statement applies to this site alone.
6. What we can promise
We will keep the site running, keep it free to read, keep it free of tracking, and correct errors when they are pointed out. We cannot promise uninterrupted availability, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for any loss arising from using or relying on anything published here. If some part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
7. No financial element
Nothing on this site involves money. There is no shop, no membership, no advertising network, no sponsorship and no affiliate arrangement. The games described are free-to-play entertainment; the points, gems, grain, feathers and scores mentioned in the walkthroughs exist only inside those games and have no monetary value of any kind. Nothing described here can be paid in or taken out, and no prizes are involved.
8. Changes
These terms can change. When they do, the date at the top of this page moves, and the current version is always the one published here. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated version.

About this site. The Game Lantern is an informational site about casual mobile games. The games covered here are played purely for fun: there is no financial element of any kind, nothing of monetary value can be paid in or taken out, and no prizes are involved. We have no commercial or contractual relationship with any publisher or developer whose game is named on this page.
